  GOD'S WORD

A refreshing rain bringing life and growth.

A fire in our hearts that we cannot contain.

A God-breathed wind that carves and shapes us.

These things don´t describe a list of "do´s and do not´s". Nor do they describe a self-help book. But they do describe God´s Word, the Bible. The Bible is a story: the story of God´s interaction with humanity, how humanity left him, and the lengths he will go to in restoring the relationship.

The New Testament, the second part of the Bible, records God´s continued efforts to restore that relationship. It is the ancient account of the life of a Jewish man named Jesus and the lives of his followers. As interesting as their story is, its even more interesting when placed in the context of the rest of the Bible.

It´s easy to miss the subtleties, even the whole point. Context brings insight into the happenings of life´s events, both ancient and current. We invite you to check out some questions that will bring context to God´s story. We also invite you to read both the Old and New Testaments online at www.biblegateway.com.

In addition to historical context, the community of the local church aids the understanding of the Bible. We have provided a church locator to help you find a group of Christians meeting in your neighborhood.
